http://www.ecoaqualizer.com/aquarium_filter/aquarium_filter.php Thoughts on this equipment? Anyone tried it?
My advise is research this on Reef Central. I too looked into this a few years ago, but steered away from advise of other reefers. It is supposidly just magnets incased on the outside of some pvc with a card board wrap around the outside. It is a scam they think. Read for yourself though. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1706784&highlight=eco+aqualizer http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1681392&highlight=eco+aqualizer http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1639309&highlight=eco+aqualizer http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/search.php?searchid=491115
I thought that myself then started thinking that MRI machines use magnets as do some air purifiers. really confusing.
You could probably make one yourself if you wanted to try it. Get some pvc and fittings for the ends. Tape magnets to the outside of it and hook up a pump. Won't be as pretty, but should have the same effect.
They have a very creative web site, which if you did not research would make you want to buy one. Years ago when I was a newbie I considered buying one. I researched a little more though on Reef Central. If you look hard enough you will find my post asking about it. If it seems to good to be true it usually is.
I saw one at northside when i used to work there. man talk about a waste. i think they are about 40 dollars or something.
Just a point of clarification - if you saw the one that we dissected to prove that it was crap, then yeah, you saw one here. You would never see a piece of junk like that on our shelves.
