This Saturday I joined the DFWMAS tank tour around the Fort Worth area. Several fish stores and tanks in the area were on the circuit for a great chance to tank to reefers with different methods and attitudes towards aquariums. I missed a couple of tanks and speeches due to the 7-month-old "pink fury", but still had a great time. Maybe we could do a similar event in Central Arkansas? With many people owning GPS it's much easier to go from house-to-house. True Percula's owner gave us a tour of the back of his shop. He actually quarantines his new fish arrivals and adjusts the ph upwards rather slowly to avoid shock. The quarantines are also the only tanks to run low levels of copper. If disease shows up, he dumps the sick fish in medical tanks for treatment. He also said he was getting in Tonga branch rock once again, so all you guys may see it returning to market.
photos of tour Let's see if my photos post of the FW tank tour. The snappy cam was pretty lousy at tank shots, so most of my pics are of larger items.
