Would you say this is the same, or as good as the Key Largo rock from marcorocks.com? I am getting ready to buy some base rock for my brand new 75gal and was gonna go with marcorocks, but this may be cheaper. They both seem as they come from the same area (florida dry reefs). Thanks for posting this. It is very helpful to noobs like myself.
I don't know. I haven't ordered any yet, just found it online today and thought I'd post it. I plan on ordering some in a week or so though, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Not 100% sure... but I read a thread on Reef Sanctuary on the subject, some thought it was the same rock & other didn't. When contacted, Marco who is a sponsor on RS just said it was not "the same" rock, what the member that contacted Marco said... the rock does look a lot alike, as does the dry rock from Bulk Reef supply. If this is not the case, let me know. Not saying it's not as good, no 1st hand knowledge, but have read dozens & dozens of post where everyone Loves Marco rock.
If anyone wants some of this rock, I am placing an order tomorrow. mcmullenmark is getting some as am I, if anyone else wants to go in on the same order let me know.
I got three pieces from Skrillnet's order. This is great rock. Wish I had a tank full of this....it stacks and builds easily. Maybe it came from the left pile o' rock and Marco rock came from the right.........just saying
