Just joined forum but not a member yet. I just wanted to kinda get a feel for being in a aquarium group. I heard about the reef fest coming up and it's actually at my local store! I actually dont have any saltwater tanks but I have 3 freshwater in my home. I always wanted a saltwater but was kinda worried about the complexity of it all and noone i know has one so ive basically self taught myself what little i know. Glad to meet everybody though! Welcome to RRMAS! Come to a meeting, especially one in a members home. It will give you even more opportunity to pick the brains of the tank owner and the other members. If you've been successful in freshwater you can learn saltwater/reef keeping, no problem! @Bauxitehog came from the freshwater side and does a great job with a large reef tank!
Thanks for the welcome guys. I planned on coming to The Fish Bowl to pay and become a member and check out the frag demonstration. And yeah I like to think im pretty successful in freshwater. My main tank is 55 gal cichlid tank and then i have a 30 in my bedroom and then 1 month old has a 10 in her room. Starting her out early!

Hiya, I started in out in fresh...raised angels and betta's at one time. I've been doing salt now for 15+ years. I even use HOB equipment on my tank. Though, there are better ways of setting up a tank now. Kim/Benton, AR
Nice Kim, I am very proud of my cichlid tank and I will allways have at least one tank with cichlids. They are too dear to me lol. I have a soft spot for them because they are the first fish I kept when I started doing aquariums.
