I have a pair of true Percula Clownfish. Recently, after dinner feeding the two clowns get on a top of a live rock and one will lay down on it without moving. It looks like it's going to sleep while the other keeps watch. I thought it was dying but it does it every time now and then the next day it swims around like nothing happened. The one that lays down actually snaps at the other clown if it gets too close. I'll try to get a picture posted of what I'm talking about. Anybody know what's going on?

Sounds like it may be some kind of hosting activity. These tank raised clowns are not familiar with anemones and sometimes feel the need to host with something but are confused and will host in anything from an anemone to a small patch of algae. I have had them host in all types of corals including softies and even mushrooms.

My clown in my nano does that. Clowns do weird stuff. If he acts okay during the day it's probably fine. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1351449230.084906.jpg
