I was lied to. . .

and I couldn't be happier. The word coming into joining the club was that I would receive a frag of a coral at each meeting I attended. Well, that was a lie, at least this meeting. I would hardly call a 40+ polyp zooanthid colony a "frag". It was so good to meet you all and put names with faces. Many thanks to the anonymous reefer who is babysitting until my 55g quarantine is up and running. Looking forward to April and Fragfest.

I have it in my anemone tank. It hasn't opened yet and it looks like we had some polyp loss (death) which is understandable considering the travel it has undergone in such a short time without a chance to rest. My frag has opened so if we lose yours I'll frag mine and give you the frag. I'll keep you informed though.

Edit: I pulled all of the clams out and threw them away in case they were dead.

@Deton8it thanks for your willingness to babysit. Without a tank that is active, I fear they would have been goners in my rock Rubbermaid. Thus, if the whole thing dies, I am out no more than I would have been on my own. Your offer to frag yours is very kind. I suspect that it's going to open and I am still going to have a large colony. If even one polyp survives, I have more than I had before the meeting. Thanks again for everything. Here's to a 30+ polyp colony opening its eyes in the next few days.
