It's a pagoda cup, lps. nice find and a fairly hardy coral. as long as you have any of the traditional reef style lighting you should be ok. You might even try feeding it after the lights turn off.
My cup coral is one of my longest residents of my 120 gallon. It does very well under my VHO lighting having turned an iridescent green over the years. I have always wanted a yellow cup but after seeing a local fish store have one for several weeks turn green it was apparent that the type of lighting affects the zooxanthelle of this species more than other lps corals. I think you will do well with your cup. I do feed mine on occasion some brine shrimp or whatever I happen to be feeding at the time.
The bright yellow cups are DYED!!! We have a true yellow cap at the store and have had it for as long as I have worked there. No body likes them except me.
Aaron’s camera broke on the plane on the way back from MACNA. yea that trip was a little more expensive than my bar tab.
