I am currently going through the process of buying a new home, and plan to stay there for the long term. So I am starting to think about doing a larger tank again. My 93 gallon crashed almost 2 years ago, and I have been doing nano tanks since. I am thinking something in the 75-125 gallon range would be what I was looking for. I for sure want to keep some tangs and larger fish. It will be mostly a softie dominant tank with some lps and maybe a couple sps thrown in. I have been growing out some soft corals in my 29 gallon. I was just wanting to see of anything was out there.
I may be looking more in the 125 gallon range. I do want to keep something like a powder blue tang, and don't want to have to upgrade in a few years.
I am seriously considering getting a Red Sea Reefer Peninsula 500. It would have a perfect spot in the bedroom, and I am more of a plug and play guy. I don't want to have to plumb anything.
It is a 105 gallon display and a 27 gallon sump. The next size up is a 140 gallon display, and a 35 gallon sump. I am going to see which will fit the best when I get everything moved in. First I am going to buy a NUVO Fusion 30L Pro for my kitchen counter. I have a 20 gallon long setup right now, and just going to move everything into the new tank. I really want to get the large tank soon though. I have some leather corals that are getting huge and I want to let them continue to grow.
