Limpet?

    I think this is a limpet. It never fails, every time I bring something home from Fisher12's I find something weird haha
    Will they hurt anythiing? I'm hoping he's not eationg my pretty yellow sponge :( I like him. :)

    i dont think thats a limpet i have one in my tank. they are usuallyin oval shaped and come to a cone at the top of the shell.

    He hasn't moved one inch in all the time I've had him. I do know he's alive because he open's up and closes. I suspect he may be filter feeding. ID is till unknown then. Thank you

    if it does all that then its some kind of clam or mussel

    No idea. It opens up right down the middle butnot like a clam or scallop would. The bottom barely open's up but it opens sideways instead of from the top. Looks like wings spreading.

    Haven't thought of that. I think he's cool looking. Shaped like a little angel sitting on the rock.
