You guys remember we setup my tank on Jan 27. I added 20lbs of live rock about a week later and 50lbs more on Feb 16.

I'm really fascinated by the critters showing up. So far I've seen several different sizes/types of pods, snails, flatworms, tiny smooth worms, bristle worms and aiptasia. Of course there's diatoms, a little bright green algae of some sort on the glass and some caulerpa that's growing pretty fast.. In addition to the sand and glass, it seems like every little hole or crevice in the rock has something crawling in and out. There are probably several thousand tiny creatures in the tank and they all arrived with the live rock.

    Really cool.

  2. I have usually gotten some type of macro algae that grows whenever I have gotten new live rock. Unfortunatly, or fortunatly, however you choose to look at it, the macro has disappeared pretty quick. I suspect that herbivores that I have had at the time munch it up. I have never been luck enough like Randy to have cool macro like he has grow in my tank.
