Thanks! I like it! Only complaint is that there is no "live mode" ie where it displays the picture on the lcd screen. Have to use the view finder, but that's not so bad I guess.
It's a Nikon D3000 with the standard kit lens. It also has several macro "lenses", which are actually just diopter filters that magnify. I am looking at getting a real macro lens for it when funds allow.
lol no doubt, the one I want costs around $500 new, $300 used. It's on a wish list, so if anyone feels like making a fellow reefer really happy......
I wanted that one first then I saw the price tag Then when I came back to reality I decided I liked this one better http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/5 ... _2_8G.html They have them on eBay periodically for around $300.
Just be careful on ebay unless it is a private seller, some of the camera stuff on there is gray-market.... nothing wrong with it just can't get warranty repair in the states. My little brother found that out the hard way many yrs ago  A great camera forum is Nikoncafe.com
If anybody needs some equipment I can get something wholesale through UPS discounts. I don't know why I didn't post anything til now. Raffle grabber
