Some new pretty stuff for the tank.  Thanks Norman.  Everything looks good and loves its new home.
I know the picture isnt all that great, but can you tell me if this star fish is reef safe?  He must have crawled out of the live rock piece that I got from you the other day.  I know he is small so he shouldn't be able to do that much damage, but my tank is small so I would hate for him to tear it up when he gets bigger.

That little guy shouldn't be able to do any harm, I see them in my small tank all the time.  Can't quite rememer their name, its on the tip of my tongue but will probably stay there till the middle of the night.

  3. Petty corals !    Your little asterina star should be fine !

I'm curious if this is an Asterina species of starfish.  I also have one like this in my tank.  I thouight that Asterinas were the small stars (up to about 1/2") which are very common.  I have hundreds in my 29 gallon.  I also have one of what Luke is posting.  It has more defnitive arms (less webbing between arms), more like a stereotypical starfish that a child would draw, and is considerably larger than my largest Asterina at a little over 1".  I just found this one in my tank about a month ago, and it doesn't seem to be bothering anyone that I can tell.
