As I was afraid of, my Lionfish was being rude and trying to eat my x-large Black Trigger. I moved the Lionfish to the 75. I am going to utilize an overhead refugium. The tank will house only the Lion with a variety of SPS and LPS corals and possibly a clam. When I have more money I will be purchasing a HOB AquaC Remora w/ cup drain.
How do you like the super sucker siphon. I love mine but I used black ABS pipe on all my tanks and they do a very good job. Your tank is starting to look like a reef.
I really like the siphon. I should have used larger pipe. I had to restrict my MagDrive 7. My next project is going to be a more effiecent way of dosing calcium(easier, I am lazy). Kalkwasser is to much work.
I'm thinking of switching to two part solution. I've used kalkwasser for quiet sometime and I'm used to it. What size pipe did you use for the drain, I'm using 1" pvc and I have to cut back my quiet one 3000 a little bit.
I modified the plans from evillabs. The plans were for very small pipe, the same as your aquascaping that we did. I used SCH 40 1" for my 90 and 3/4 for the frag tank and my 20 and I like the 1" a lot better. I do like the way you set up your sump, are you going to put a refugium on top of the stand.
yes, I am going to pump water up to the fuge from the skimmer side and it will gravity feed back into the pump side. I am planning on using a maxi jet 1200
Re: New Lion's Den/ Reef Update Refugium up and runing. I am also going to install a Kalk reactor in line with a top off. This system will be gravity fed. I am going to place a float valve in the sump to control flow. I will post pics later this week to note progress.
