Bigman nice looking mod and nasty looking eel [IMG] . I see a plexiglass cover on the tank. Does it cover the whole tank?, if so I would drill some 3/8" holes in it to let co2 and other gasses escape.

Does that mod work good and leave very few bubbles in the tank

my coralife mod is about the same ...just dont have the pipe and cap from the top of the T ...

bubbles dont seem to be a problem in my system.. but my skimmer has been that way since i added it to system so i couldnt say it was better...

also not running the original pump..

Not sure about the bubbles. I do not have a pump for it yet. There are some small openings in the top. I may take your advise and drill some small holes for gas exchange. The eel has settled in well. I caught him digging out a hole under my rock yesterday. I will try to get him to come out for a better pic later.

Great video, I just love a predator tank, always one of my favorites...........Great Job. Remember to vary his diet, the more different foods he will eat the healthier he will be. Silversides are good, but check out some of the seafood stores, or asian markets for squid or octopus, thats their normal food source and may contain some nutriants necessary for good health. Always buy fresh or fresh frozen with no preseratives. Remember if all else fails you can eat the bait !!!!

Thanks for the tip Fisher12. I do not know of any of those types of markets here in Hot Springs. Are there any up your way. I will search the internet.

Bigman There is Whole Foods ogg 430 on Rodney Parim Rd. and there is a organic store on Cantrell Rd. off 430, both right by the exits. I would be very careful though as I bought some fresh clams, still alive and not supposed to have anything on them, fed them to my open brain and he hasn't been the same since. He seems to be slowly dieing, doesn't inflate like he used too. I have heard some say they may spray something on them on the boats, I don't know. I do know the gulf caught shrimp are good, that is what I was feeding before and never had a problem. I might be apt to get some of the bigger whole krill from NSA and try them, they may have frozen squid pieces too.
