My reef creations recirculating skimmer: Large powerful skimmer. Requires periodic adjustments. Needs to be cleaned at least once a week bi weekly prefered. Uses a two rather potent pumps. Somewhat noisy. Overall it performs its functions, it skimms a large quanity of water. I would rate it a B+.
Roy do you think that their recirculating skimmer out performs their beckett skimmers. I still have my beckett and have considered converting it to a recirculating skimmer.
Sorry chris...been away distracted with my hectic sechedual the last few years.....yes i believe the recirc skimmers are more effiecient...but the trade off is running the 2nd pump (a pressure pump) extra electrical usage and heat. I have mine programed to just run during daylight hours and shut down at nite to save some money. I also have the closed loop pumps down at nite as well.
