a month ago i tore my dual 125 gl's down to lay new floor and make room for the big tank to go in but i was still going to have to cut a hole in the wall and run a remote sump. in the mean time i had my fish crammed into a 150gl and 75 gl tank until i could get the new one up and running. well saturday night the 150 sprung a leak so now i am down to a 75 gl up and running and a huge bio-load in it.

i spread my corals out between my 75 and a friends 125 for now and started scrambling to get everything i needed to finish the 480 gl and get it up and running at least with a basic set up for now. anyway, today was teh day to cut the hole in the wall and right before i started the lady said she would rather me buy my dream tank then cut a hole in teh wall to make this one work so in a couple weeks i am going to order my new tank [IMG] . its going to be a 11.5'lx3'wx3'h. i already have almost everything i need to run this tank since i have been collecting parts for a while so it should be here and up and running within a month or so. until then its water changes after water changes to keep my nitrate's down. well thats my late christmas gift with a twist.

on another topic if any one wants to have a topic of tank resealing in the near future i have the perfect candidate for the workshop. its a 150 tall.

I have a friend whose 250 gal tank sprung a leak. He called me and I'm currently keeping most of his stuff. This was his second leak in a year. He is thinking of giving up the hobby.
Its good that you are getting your big tank.
    Good luck!!

It's better to just get a new tank. I'm afraid you will keep having problems with it. Depending where the leak is and how big-it might last a bit but best advice is to scrap it or take it all apart and redo the whole thing. Sorry to hear you've been having a bad time [IMG]
