in june i am going to florida and going on a charter boat with experienced collectors to target fish that i want for my aquarium. i get to hand select my fish out of the ocean for my tank. tell me thats not cool? providing we can catch them and they make the acclimation to a glass cage that is. but to dive with the fish i have always wanted to keep will be the coolest thing ever. not to mention a shark dive with bull and lemon sharks as well if time permits. this is going to be the coolest thing since prom night :lol: i am an avid diver so the experiance alone is well worth the trip but the chance to collect my own fish and corals(possibly) is going to be a highlight. on the coast there are only a few tangs but i would gladly have any of the three in my tank. the rules from what i have read call for 20 specimens per day per diver. it can be any combination of inverts, corals, fish, or algae as long as its with in the size limits and species limits. i am stoked on this one. any divers want to go with me?

I am interested; however, i probably wont be able to afford the 10day stay. What would I need to stay? or how many dives are you planning on? and Are you flying or driving?
i am driving and staying with family in hudson. its about 5 hours from there and then on the day before the dive i will be driving down and getting a room for the night. 1 days diving and the dive amount doesnt matter to me at all. im good for 2 or 4 dives. if any one actually goes then i would consider more then one night possibly but with a 100% guarantee i asume one day will be all i need
well i got a call back from a law office today saying that was no longer their number and i cannot find another number so they may have went out of business. that would totally suck but who knows. ii'll let you guys know what i find out.
That would really be a cool thing to do, but I can't say that I am surprised that they are not in business anymore. Seems like you would have heard about this type of thing more if it was ok to do. I would love to do something like that - keep us posted.
