I have a beautiful Powder Brown Tang that I am wanting to trade for some small coral frags, particularly some white bubble coral. The Tang is about 4 inches in size and needs a good home in a larger tank. He was removed from my 80 ga. reef because he was starting to pick on my Blue Hippo Tang and Lawnmower Blenny. The Powder Brown was about the same size as the Blue Hippo when I added him to the tank, and they seemed to get along fine for about a week. Then the chasing started! I wanted to try my luck with a Brown & Blue Hippo since they are differently shaped and both are considered to be passive tangs. 80 gallons is just to small to house both, so the Powder Brown is currently in my 12 ga. nano cube and is doing well........but he needs a much larger home soon! I would like to keep him, but I just don't have another tank large enough to house him. Please let me know if anyone is interested, and what type of frags you would be willing to trade for the tang. I will be up in Fayetteville this Saturday, but should be home Sunday if anyone would like to come and see him in person. You can send me a PM or call me at 804-3442 if you have any additonal questions. Thanks. -Jeremy EDIT: I'm also looking to possibly trade for some blue Xenia, or really any non-sps coral frag that is blue or white in color.
Any trade considered. I am really looking for a good home for this fish and will consider any trades offered. If anyone is interested in just purchasing the fish, I will take $30 (I think these guys go for around $50 - $60). The Tang is in good health and is eating well. If feed Julian Sprungs Seaweed every day and alternate Flake & mysis on the other days. I just need to get the fish out of the 12 ga. Nanocube he is in and into a larger system. He appears to be happy right now, but needs much more room to swim in the open water.
Sure... Right not I am trying to mix up the colors in my tank, so pretty much anything that is not pink or purple in color.
i have some green star pollops that are covering a good sized rock (3"x4"x6 ") if you would be interested in it. or some yellow pollops just let me know.
hey screwloose , how are you doing so good with your star polyps ,i have a problem with mine they dont wanna open at all only one day and thats it you have alot of flow on them looks like they like that?
up until recently they have been doing great. my alkalinity is up alittle high right now so they have not been opening as much lately. i have another rock with twice that amount of green star pollips and a couple of brain corals as well. i'm not sure why they are doing so good but they are in a high flow area with alot of light. i run my lighting alittle different then most do as well but not sure that has any affect on them. i run my mh's 6-11 am and then 4:30 - 10 pm. i am also using a 20 k bulb. hope that helps
Well... The powder brown has a new home at our home, and Jeremy is the owner of an orange cap colony. Oh, and a small frag of my eagle eye zoa's. This is a beautiful fish. Thanks Jeremy! I hope you enjoy the cap.
Just saw you updated this post. Glad you like the Powder Brown. I've heard these guys are hard to get small, and he was pretty small when I got him. Glad he has a good home, and my Lawnmower Blenny no longer hides in the rocks in fear! The orange Monti is doing great as well as the Zoas. Thanks again for the eagle eyes! They are my favorite zoas so far!
