Wanted: SW Tank

Discussion in 'Buy/Sell/Trade' started by nanoreefing4fun, Mar 9, 2009.

  1. Hi everyone,

Hope it's not bad/rude to make my 1st post here in Buy/Sell/Trade... so let me start by saying I am excited to have just found Razorbackreef forum & sw tank reefers here in central Arkansas!

I have been reading up on everything related to starting up a new sw tank in all the "newbie/beginners sections" (at these forums, reefcentral, nano-reef, reefsanctuary) for about three weeks now... till my eyes are seeing double... [IMG]

I am wanting to get my 1st SW tank & I live in NLR. If anyone has a tank for sale I would be very interested. I only have room for a tank about 36" wide.

After a lot of thought so far, I am thinking if I don't pick up a used one, I am going to order a Red Sea 130D (34 gallon) & stand... this may give you some type of an idea of what I might be interested in used, the real key being my width constraint or 36" wide or so... & some idea of the dollars I want to spend to start up a tank with... knowing there is a ton of stuff I need to get like a refractometer, rock, livestock, etc...

Hoping to have a few fish, some soft coral, bunch of CUCs & some hard coral & a clam if I can get a tank with enough light to support it.

Any ideas or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Post back or you can e-mail me at [email:1gtwd54p]wgmcnatt@aol.com[/email:1gtwd54p] or PM me here.

I plan on joining Razorbackreef club & getting to know some of you as I try to learn about this new hobby.

    Glenn

I have a 46g bowfront w/stand that's 36" long. Dual 150W Sunpod w/moonlights, Remora Pro skimmer, CPR HOB refugium, nice deep sand bed, no critters or rock. Will take $550 and you'll have to take it down.

  6. Thanks for the post... everyone, I went ahead & bought a Red Sea Max 130D, just got it set up... added the sand, ro/di salt water & Live Rock today.

It fit great & really looks beautiful [IMG] Wish me luck, my 1st every swt. Now I just have to wait & wait & wait, for it to cycle & then I can start by adding my CUC I guess... [IMG] so much learn...
