West Tennessee Frag Swap

  1. It was a late decision for Razorback Reef to attend the Frag Swap put on by the West Tennessee Marine and Reef Society. We left about 6am (Blake was late as usual) and we conducted a unofficial mobile board meeting on the way. We even called Joe and woke him up at 7:30 to get his and Kathys input, his input was initailly snoring in the phone but Joe is a true Reefer and always has time for the club even at 7:30[IMG]. The event was held in an old liquor store that was really perfect for the event. I had to go live on the Radio about 30min after we arrived to promote the event because no one would step up to do it out of fear of being on the radio. I think it turned out OK but I didn't here myself and who knows how bit this radio station was. There were lots of vendors and frags were very fairly priced from 5 - 35 dollars. It was a great event put on by the club. I was able to speak with a guy that will probably produce our next tshirt and we spoke with a handful of the vendors who tentatively agreed to come to Arkansas for a swap. We also spoke with a new fish store that will be offering members of RRMAS a discount. Members that attended the event were Chris, Blake, Norman, Marti, Cindy & Kevin Copland. We all took home an enourmous amount of frags. I brought home 10 large frags for about 65 bucks --WOW!!! Thanks to Norman I also picked up an ASM Skimmer for 65.00 and of course Norman worked it so I was duped once again. [IMG]One of these days I will learn. [IMG]It was a great day but very long - 12 hours including drive time. I am really excited about putting on an event like this for Razorback Reef next year.
