Does anyone have any experience with ehiem submersible pumps? It need to pump around 800 GPH. I am looking for a replacement to run my chiller after my pondmaster submersible pumps blew a hole through itself (literally). My corals did not like that one bit and are just now starting to recover fully after many many water changes. So I am looking for a very reliable pump because I don't want to go through that again.[IMG]

ehiem pumps are good pumps. Those who have used them say it is worth the extra cost for them over the Mag pumps. Lower running temp as well.

    I <heart> My Eheims.

Very quiet and cool. The plumbing connections are odd-sized though.

I have not had any experience with their larger pumps, but have had several canister filters over the years and have never had one fail. They are cool and quiet and last a very long time if used properly. I would say thats a good choice if a sequence pump can't be used in your application.

I agree with Fisher. Be sure and change the floss in the canister out regularly tho.
