Can't get a very good picture but this gives you an idea Mark. Maybe hard to tell from the pic but you can still see polyps on the white branch. It hasn't changes since I found it about 30 hours ago.
Pic isn't pulling up on my phone. My DD piece is slowly improving. The doo doo brown is slowly turning purple and I'm starting to see a little more teal blue. It's a good 6 mo away from looking good though. Must be a Fairly hardy piece!
My urchin is at it again. This time he found a small piece of rock with 4 polyps of a zoa. I have no idea where he found it.
New equipment update! I've been wanting to upgrade my sump for quite a while and some unexpected income allowed me to go ahead and do it. I wanted to 1) increase my water volume and have a little more reserve with power outages, etc. 2) Simplify filter sock changes 3) enlarge my skimmer chamber to better accomodate my oversize skimmer 4) better utilize my understand space. Old sump was 36x16x15, the new one is 42x18x16 and the new skimmer section is 15" wide.
Nice Sump! Whats the brand? Trigger? or Trigger reef? So I'm on PC vs phone. Just now seeing the DD piece. Looking great!! Is the bleached piece recovering?
It's a Trigger custom, based on a Trigger Emerald. I stretched, widened and made it taller. Unfortunately the DD piece has been STN over the last ten days. It's down to about 2" of one branch. I don't think it's going to make it. Everything else including the new blue frag from Miami is doing great.
Doc if it is still dying and you have some room try this: Apply a thin ring of super glue about 1/4 inch above the tissue loss. The theory is the glue will stop the tissue from just falling off. There is no guaranty this will work. Something else to look in to, shine a light on there in the middle of the night to see if you have a sneaky predator.
I've got a trigger, but mine is just plain ol' clear acrylic. I love the green, style'n!! Dang! I hate to hear the DD piece is pooping out. I would definitely try the super glue.
Finally took the plunge and got a couple of rock flower anemones. These guys are stunning in person under the blues. Will try to get a better picture later.
Yeah, RFAs, look great under blues. The two you have are pretty stunning, looks like a pink skirt one and a rainbow. Where did you buy them from?
Got a few pictures of some of my zoas tonight. Morning Glorys, Sunny D's, no name Palys and metallic orange no name zoas and bonus shots of the two new rock flower nemes.
