is it better to have a 6 t5 fixture with led moonlights or 8 t5 fixture with no moonlights. This is for a 75 gallon tank with lps, dersea clam, rtba and zoes. May try to do birdsnest or easy sps.

    Thanks

I have a 6 T5 set up over my 65g. Works well. I have a thriving RBTA, tons of zoas, lps, and a few sps. The sps are at the middle and bottom of center tank.

If you do 8 bulbs you have more color choices and it's always better to have more than you need.

Just make sure the 8 bulb fixture isn't wide enough to hang over the front and back of the tank in turn wasting the extra light.

You'll get 25% more heat with 2 more bulbs as well. Something else to consider.
