This is my first acan and I was wanting to see how often, and what everyone is feeding there acans. I have been feeding mine frozen mysis and Prime reef flake food, I have only had it since Saturday so I have only feed them once. I was thinking twice a week or should I feed more. On the frogspawn is any extra feeding needed, if so what and how often. Thanks everyone for the help.
I used Rods until I ran out. They loved it. I made my own mix this time of table shrimp, scallops, salmon and some other things and they seem to like it just as well. I feed three times a week but I am a heavy feeder. I have alot of new growth. The frogspawn likes the meat mix as well.
I also feed my acan, but not the frogspawn. Just remember the more you feed the more nutrients in your system. This is ok for LPS as they like it, but for an SPS dominated tank try and keep your water as pristine as possible. I have pretty much decided to do my big tank with LPS and softies as I like the colors and movement and it's a little easier to keep water conditions ok. SOrry, getting off topic....feeding will make them grow, my acans are little pigs.
