This is an article in Reefkeeper Magazine that I think would be of interest to anyone keeping or wanting to keep the Anthias species. Although a popular aquarium species very few aquarists have the facilities to keep these beautiful fish. These fish are available to the trade because of their ease of capture on or above the reefs. We as aquarists should be more mindful of the needs of the particular species we buy so the demand for unfavorable species will not drive the collectors to remove them from the reefs.

Well, I have a female dispar anthias and so far it's suspected of eating my camel back shrimp. Otherwise, seems to be getting along fine with my fairy wrasse and bicolor angel. I'll keep an eye - it's a beauty.

Yes, excellent article. I have a male and female lyretail and a female disbar. They all get along but the hippo keeps the male in check-so far. They get overly aggressive and guess I will have to find a much larger home for them.
