Looking for suggestions on best settings for either camera or LED lights to get good shots of these corals I picked up from the AquaSD sale......The camera is a Nikon D40X. I have tried adjusting the blues down and the corals just look drab.
Yeah it has raw. No I don't have photoshop. What about the settings on the tank? Any adjustments need to be made there?
No. If you get a good photo editor, you can adjust the light balance to whatever spectrum the lights are putting out. You could probably mess around with your lights until you find the perfect spot, but I have never been able to do so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Off. You want to run your camera on manual settings though. I'm at work & can't give a tutorial. But if you can manipulate those settings, very rarely will you need a flash for any kind of photo setting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok i'll try that when I get home. I think I saw something like manual settings when I was playing around with it.
Allan man you're going to have to give me a tutorial....i'm about as camera illiterate as they come. Been snapping photos in RAW (not sure if i'm on manual) for about 30 mins and the only cool one I got was my avatar....
I'll for sure show you. It's hard to explain over the computer, but it really is simple. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe I can talk my sister in to letting me borrow her camera for reef splash and you can show me then?
That will work. I will probably bring mine, but it's a canon so some of the functions will be different. But I can still show the basics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
