I moved a hammer coral over to the new tank and... it has faded a lot! So should I move him back to the old tank or ??? I have been target feeding and moved him to less light when I first noticed. I just don't want it to totally bleach! I tested the water and everything is in normal range. It was under t5 lights and moved to MH but it's on the bottom.

Was it on the bottom of the tank with T5s? Also how deep are both the tanks?

it is not uncommon to experience some bleaching when moving to a new tank. As I understand it this is caused by a decrease or change in the phytozoanthalie in the coral that give it it's color. I would just keep an eye on it and give it time to adjust to the MH's.

upper part of the tank with t5, 30in tank and bottom with the 500w MH 24 in

I may even move it to where it is shaded a little??

I would let it be another day or too, at this point the more you move it may just stress it out even more. If you don't see any improvements though I would consider moving it to shaded area.

Here is the before... I'll have to take a pic of the after. I think my tank is getting too hot! I may move this guy back to the old tank until I can get a system to keep this tank a little cooler. It still has a faint tint of color so I hope it will recover.
