Ok I am making a shopping list for Lowes Tommorw but I have looked on line and did a search for bulkheads but I can seem to find them is there another name for them? or what do I need to look for b/c one of my bulkheads is broke! Thanks!
http://www.glass-holes.com/Bulkheads_c21.htm Great service and a sense of humor too. Pretty quick shipping as well, I think my stuff took 2 days.
When I was plumbing my tank Lowes didnt have any and looked at me like i was crazy when I asked the plumbing guy for a Bulkhead. I got mine from The Fish Tank. Thomas
Mine broke recently, and in a rush I checked everywhere on a sunday to get a new one before my tank started leaking. Turns out a LFS is the only place to get them from and had to pick some up from my store the next day. I am now in posssession of a few spares for a rainy day, and suggest others do the same with things like that.
Hayward bulkheads will never break or crack unless you run it ova with a steam roller. I have 2 they are pricey but well worth it. Raffle grabber
Most of the Hayward sch 80 bulk heads require a slightly bigger hole though. I think the one inch ones will fit a "typical" 1-7/8" hole.
True but you will never worry about stuff breaking though. If I had to is get a regular bulkhead for the down pipe and a hayward for standpipe. Raffle grabber
