What is the minimum light requirement for a Bubble Tip Anemone . I would like to add one for each pair of my black clowns and pink skunk clowns. I have 3 different tanks setups and a pair in each tank. all have different lighting on each tank: vho's, t5's and power compact. Which would be the preferred lighting as I will be moving the clowns into whatever tank need be to accomodate for the anemone.

I tried some hairy shrooms hoping they most go for it but they weren't interested in the least.
I love the carpet anemones but seems to be greater potential for them eating my fishy friends so not an option for my tank.

Joe would be best to answer this one. Our clowns host in our leathers and toadstools.

Carpet's like a lot of light. At least the VHO's, maybe the T5's-depending on how many watt's you have with them.

VHOs or T5s would be fine for a BTA. PCs are OK if the anemone will stay up high in the tank.

NSA had some nice rose BTAs the last time I was there.

I have to disagree about PC's, even if the animal is up high. I have a Rose BTA in my Biocube, and under the stock PC's it didn't do well at all. I thought I was going to lose it - and my tank is only 16" deep. In fact, my anemone was the main reason for my upgrading to an HQI fixture. I would say VHOs minimum, but that's just my $ .02. =)

thanks for the replies everyone. I have been doing some rearranging of my livestock in my tanks so the Bubble Tip will most likely go in my tank with the t5's and my pink skunk clowns.
