I'm thinking that i can keep some very low light coral, but i would like ya'lls opinions... I have a 10 gallon with a 28W light... (http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsU...life20aqualightpowercompactstriplight1x28watt) I realize that is a little weak and im willing to upgrade if needed... Would mushrooms or amy onter corals be ok under such light? -me
yes you can! Yes, as long as your 10G is pretty shallow. The light actually reaching the corals declines rapidly as the water gets deeper. Back to my 3G pico with 18W of CF, it's actually moderately bright. Some yellow polyps put in there got shocked by the light. My suggestion would be to search online for pictures of tanks using your tank model. If you see another reefer growing softies in your exact tank, then you're in good shape. Just change the bulbs every 6 months or so--I need to do this too.
