Just got a derasa. Any tips for care? High calcium I know, but any thing else I should know?

I just got one today myself from The FishTank.
High light (but I think not as high as other species).
    Small clams require supplimental feedings.
Normal range of Ca, ALK, and pH, etc.
Of course this is what I think but I am going to read more myself on Reef Central.
    Good Luck!

Hey Phillip nice to see you posting loved the pictures you sent me of your clam.
I do believe Good lighting, Supplemental feeding for smaller clams, and Calcium 400-450 i think and your alk at good levels.

If the clam is less than 4 inches it will require phytoplankton as it can't produce enough energy with light alone. The larger the clam gets the less phyto will be required.
