I'd love for us to have threads to share the progress and care of the corals we get through the club. Since several different people will be keeping frags from the same mother colony we can learn a lot about how to care for them (flow, lighting, placement, parameters) Pics would be great to compare coloration in different kinds of lighting as well as growth rates. I think it would give us all a better chance at success.

Don't be bashful if yours isn't doing well. Sharing info is how we all learn.

First. frozen Spathulata from last months meeting. Was brown when I first got it home. Now is turning back pink and the tip of the frag has some light green. Don't know if it will show up in the pic. Right now I have it about half way up the tank and at the over lap point of two lights. Plan to move it higher this week

Second. Acro from Saturday. Wasn't brown at all when I got it home. Kind of olive green. Not much PE yet. Have it on the sandbed getting used to LED lighting.

I think this is a great idea David. Unfortunately I lost my spath shortly after getting it in my tank. RTN and it was gone in less than 24hrs.... That's really saying something too since I got the largest frag. :) I picked up 8 frags from the meeting Saturday: (will try to post some pics tomorrow)
    1) Acro looks great. I have some polyp extension on mine and it has shades of green in it as well.
    2) Christmas Favia is doing fine. I have him near the bottom and he seems happy. Had some feeding tentacles out this am.
    3) War coral is not doing as well. I was fortunate to get a piece that had both green and red on it. It was very unhappy when I got it home. Sliming really bad and some of the edges have receded away. The existing eyes on both colors seem ok but I'll keep monitoring it. It is half way up middle of the tank.
    4) Picked up a pink and brown platygyra frag. Looks great at bottom of tank. Feeding polyps were out last night.
    5) Zoa rock is doing great. Nice mixture of green (radioactive?) and eagle eyes. On bottom in sandbed.
    6) Picked up favia frag (looks purple with red eyes) and it's still on frag rack acclimating but it should be fine. Also was feeding last night.
    7) The other Acro that Adam didn't get....it's great. Not sure what it is, white with what looks like purple tips and greenish polyps. Up high right under return.
    8) Last but not least was the frag of clove polpys. Haven't fully opens up yet, but don't seem happy. Sitting in sandbed now. Hopefully they'll perk up. Where should I put them under LEDs?

Polyps aren't happy and you can see where the war coral has receded.

Mine still looks like it did Sat night. I still have it on the sand bed for now. I hate that David. If mine makes it I'll cut a frag off for you.

Awesome. Where's it at in your tank? Mine looks a little bleached on the corner that's closest to the top. I had it on the sandbed and it still got bleached. I'm hoping the rest of it will pull through.

I thought it was odd that a favia could be so sensitive and bleach on the sandbed.

It's not a reverse christmas favia, I'll have to find out what the name is. It didn't have the blue center when we got it, then it started coloring up

That blue center looks crazy in my tank. I gotta find the perfect place for it though.
