I got a stronbus conch a few days ago. Right after I released him into my 29 gallon tank I had to leave for some reason so I didn't get to watch him crawl around. Its been three days and I haven't seen him since, I stirred up the sand a bit with no luck. Is there any other place they like to hid?
I have several types of conchs and they will sometimes bury themselves in the sand for a week or more. If its in there its in the sand, conchs don't like to hide any where else as they are a sand dwelling snail. It is more than likely behind a rock in the sand you just can't see it but it will return in a little while.
