dwarf lion success

    this is day three that when i try to feed my new dwarf he seems to get irritated and swims off. im using frozen krill and coffee straw. coming from the side so he dont even see me or the straw and still nothing......

    dwarf lion failure

    Try feeding when light are not as bright. Also u might try turning off a power head or two, to slow the current. If u have not tried this yet. Had a friend who did this and it worked for him.

    If push comes to shove, you can feed ghost shrimp temporarily, to maintain his weight while he gets used to tank life.

    Something live on tongs will get him interested. Usually that's how we get our lions to eat at work..

    Try small freash water mollies then temper them to saltwater. Add a litlle salt water every 15 mins. until it reaches salinity of your tank. Mollies make great tank cyclers.

    are they ok for the kidney of a lion and i was trying not to feed live foods cause i have a few not so big fish

    well he ate 2 ghost shrimp no problem....now to ween him to frozen krill. GOOD LUCK

    he is out during the day light times and he is eating anything that looks like a shrimp that gets in his vision and my trigger dont eat first...... very excited thanks for everyones input

    ok he is awesome he just ate a frozen krill right out of my hand.....
