Is it okay for members to use the forum for making money (selling frags)? What is the definition of commercial use on the forum? In the past when we have meetings at members' homes, we have given frags and/or traded with others. I like the idea of just helping each other out by sharing our frags with each other. This was one of the things that attracted me to the club when I joined.
I would venture to say that commercial use would be to propagate frags for the purpose of selling them as a profit for something other than their own hobby. We give a lot of ours away as the corals need fragged, or trade with them. We do not grow them out for the sole purpose of making a profit from them.
I agree with Marti that the definition of commercial sales does not include selling a frag on our site at a profit, especially by members but probably by non members as well. I can see nothing wrong with propagating corals to sell through Razorback Reef to offset some of the expenses that hobbyists incure. In fact I would argue that the sale of fraggs on our site is a sign that Razorback Reef is successful.
