I have a coral beauty that I've had for several years that has started nipping at my corals, anybody have any ideas on how to catch it? I have around 200lbs of live rock in the tank, we've tried nets with no luck, and I have tried a trap made from a plastic bottle with the end cut and turned around but they would not go near it, This fish has to go, but I don't want to have to tear all the rock work down to get it out.

We usually find it easier to catch them at feeding time. A beauty would be hard to catch that way tho. Know anyone who has a reg. fish trap? That might work. Maybe someone else would have an idea.

I was thinking about trying a fish trap, don't know anyone that has one, we checked at North Side yesterday and they didn't have one. May have to try and invent something this weekend.

How big is the coral beauty? I have a trap. It is one that Chris made the parts for. We assembled them in a work shop we did. I used it to catch some damsels. I am pretty sure others in the club have one too.

If you wanted to meet somewhere I could get you mine.
