  1. Here is what under the stand looks like. I haven't glued yet but I think I have all the cuts done. uploadfromtaptalk1395628459681.jpg

  2. How does this look? Going to have flex going from the right barb to the eheim 1260. The double true unions leave room to change later and the extra outlet on the return will let me bypass some of the water if I need to. uploadfromtaptalk1395710991743.jpg

Plumbing looks great. I like the idea of going with soft plumbing from the pump to the PVC. This will help cut down on vibration noise. I also like the bypass on your return line. You can run a GFO and carbon reactor from it later if you want to.
Glad you like the Pukani rock. I sure like mine.

  6. This seems like a silly question, do I need to glue the overflow pipes to the bulkheads in the tank?

That is a good question. The answer is no you do not. I don't glue any of the plumbing inside of the overflow box.
You may know this already but make sure you but the gaskets that comes with your bulkheads on the inside of the tank not on the outside where the nut is.

  8. Great thanks! That means I am officially done with plumbing :) Now to see if I want to buy some water from the fish store in Searcy or just make it myself

Have you tested your plumbing, I would fill your tank with RO to see if you have any leaks? Let it run a few days to make sure there are no small leaks.

I would alos suggest putting eggcrate on the floor of the tank.
Get an RO system, you will never regret it.

Why use RO to leak test?

  11. Yeah I am going to fill with tap water to leak test. I already bought the RO unit :) egg crate already installed in the tank as well. So I know that RO water is necessary when I do the official fill...but...why does the salt that I bought say that I can use tap water uploadfromtaptalk1395782196923.jpg

  12. No leaks! Whole system is working and I am so glad I put the extra bypass in there because the Eheim 1260 was very strong and drained the sump faster than I could get water from the overflow.

Don't use tap, some LFS will also tell you that and that's incorrect. You will thank me for that....

  14. So I am planning on filling the tank with ro/di water and then putting in the salt mix to let it stir up, can I add the sand and rock first? Or do I have to wait. I figured putting in the sand and rock first would be easier but didn't want to mess up the water

Add your rock before the sand, that way it can set directly on the egg crate, sure so for it.

  16. How does this look? Trying to find a good arrangement uploadfromtaptalk1395849889820.jpg

You know its really what is pleaseing to you, I would leave a gap in there, perhaps move the 3 rock left and leave that space empty where it was.
