I just saw this thread. My tank is a week old. Do I need to re-stack my live rock on this eg crate? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Eggcrate gives a stable base for your for rock and will keep the rock from damaging the bottom of the tank. If you build your rock on sand or gravel creatures will undermine the rock possibly causing it to fall or worst break your glass
I had a guy tell me today I was practically a fool for putting sand in my tank because there's no way to prevent detritus. My scape seems stable. My sand layer is not very thick. I also wiggled each piece as I put them in place. I don't want to get too far down the road and have it all crash if I could have prevented it by doing something to it now.
