Thanks! It's been a constant challenge to get the growth I have. *All of the corals do not respond the same to changes in water chemistry and lighting. *It's takes constant tweaking to keep it going and keep them happy. *Eventually you learn to get feel for what they need. * I'm running 6 T5 bulbs with old icecap reflectors. *2 bulbs on 9 or 10 hours a day..4 bulbs about 7 hours, and all six anywhere from 0 hours to 4 max. *I've noticed almost no change in growth from running 4 bulbs compared to all 6. *I used to run all 6 about 7-8 hours a day and had near zero growth for 2 years. Lighting intensity and growth seems to really depend on the coral. *Overall I'd say they don't like full intensity if nutrients are low and growth will slow alot. *I'm constantly adjusting photoperiod. *If some coral start to turn pale I'll shorten the 6 bulb photoperiod or just run 4 bulbs and bump up feeding a tad and do the opposite if they look alittle too dark or brown. *Sometimes I'll run biopellets if I've been overfeeding for too long but I've never been able to leave them online. I had really nice colors until I lost my kole tang and lost one anthia from the christmas power outage. *I've been dosing seachem nitrogen to boost nitrate aliitle until I can get more fish. I'm moving the tank to a new house in about a week, so I'm waiting until all of that is done.
