    Hello everyone,

My name is Adam Preston. I am new to the Razorback Reef and also new to reef blogs. I have been in the Saltwater aquarium hobby for a few years now. I first started of my hobby in Texas a few years ago with a small 10 Gal. then moved up to a 36 gallon. I ended up having to sell it because I was moving from Texas back to Arkansas.
I now have a 75 gallon aquarium for the past year with:

Fluval fX5 canister filter with calcium cubes/ Bio bags/ and mesh filters for it.
    Coralife Protein skimmer
    heater
    Marineland reef capable led light
about 75 lbs of live rock
and maybe 4 or 5 bags of live sand
    2 clown fish
    1 Blue Damsel
1 Korean angel ( Boss of the Tank)
    1 coral banded
    3 Snails
    1 serpent star fish.

I just added some polyps and a carpet Anemone.
I never had a carpet anemone before and I am trying to get the clowns to host in a anemone I have tried other but they still seam to like the filter outlet. Also I had just bought the anemone yesterday and I was wondering if what it is doing is normal. Will post a photo. All levels in tank are good. I use purple tech as additives.

Welcome to the forum! These types of anemone need strong lighting, not sure if the ones you have will cut it. Looks like its mouth is gaping which usually is not a good sign. Try feeding a piece of shrimp or silverside and see if that helps. Your clowns may take a while before they take it as a host and may never do it all. Mine took about 3 months before they realized it was for them. It's a good idea to get the anemone settled and happy first, anyway. Good luck.

Welcome to the board! I have no experience with carpet anemones, but it does seem to be improving based on the two photos. It looks pretty awesome though. Kinda like a giant ricordea.
