We missed you Alan. That duncan the angel ate was yours ;).

LOL no problem. I do have one duncan that has put on like 7 heads in the past month. I'll frag some of it for you if the angelfish eats your entire reef before getting it to Greg.

Hi, I'm Amy. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a picture on my profile. I started with a 20 gallon reef tank a year and a half ago...I now have a 65 gallon and I'm totally obsessed. I probably have 40 different kinds of coral. I do have fish but corals, especially the soft kind, are my true obsessions. I just ordered and got Aqua Illumination LED lighting, I'm told it's one of the best kinds of lighting. I'm just waiting on the rail kit to get here. Forgive me if I mess up on here...I've never joined a blog before. I just used Facebook. You can find me there at https://www.facebook.com/amycalvin Anyway, I hope I learn my way around and I hope to learn from you and give advice also. I've learned a ton since I started this hobby and I've read every decent book written about reef aquariums and corals.

I would like to invite all our new members to this months meeting on March 15th. I would like to meet you guys and girls and hear about your tank or your future tank and how things are going with it. This is a great way to see another persons tank see how they have things set up and to ask questions. Plus you get a free lunch and best of all a free frag. We have frags that are good for the beginner up to the experts. Hope to see y'all here.

Hi, I'm Linda Hendrickson. I started my 55 gal marine tank about 20 years ago and ran it for 15 years (mostly fish). During an electrical outage for 3 days I lost everything. After 5 years of no tank I decided I needed it back in my life so started back again. I am mostly interested in corals but I do have a Vagabond butterfly, 3 yellowtail damsels, a diamond watchman goby (I believe he is MIA), an orchid dottyback, a mandarin goby, and a yellow tang in addition to the 19 (tiny little) corals (thanks to Norman and David) , a nice featherduster and a large clam (he's brown spotted with blue edging). I use a filter that hangs off the back of the tank and one powerhead. I do not have a sump yet. I am running T5's. I'm looking forward to the day my tank looks half as good as Corey's. Enjoyed the meeting at Corey's house yesterday.

It was nice meeting you yesterday! The plugs you made were wonderful! I mounted one of the milles I got to it, & it looks great.

I also hope you'll consider starting a tank build thread. One of my favorite things about this hobby is seeing the progression in tanks. You will also be glad that you did. When looking at your tank everyday, you don't always notice the growth. But if you have a photo of the coral as a tiny frag, & compare it to a photo taken a few months later, it is pretty neat to see the growth.

Welcome again Lynda! Enjoyed talking with you the last two meetings.

I agree with Alan. Start a build thread for yourself if not for the rest of us. Several times I've gotten a little discouraged and then looked at the difference in my photos and been encouraged by it. The guys here are also great sources of encouragement as well as knowledge.

Lynda I am glad you made it to the meeting and hope to see you at many more. You know if you have any questions or ever need help with your tank let us know. I want to thank so much for the muscadine jelly. How did you know it's my favorite? :)

You're welcome Corey. My granddaughter calls it "the good stuff". ......and re the tank build thread - I'll have to figure out how to do that. I have never done blogging before so this is new to me. I have taken pictures (color is not right). I need to photoshop them as fattytwobyfour (I don't remember your name - sorry) recommended.

My name is Allan, but you can call me Fatty, Fattytwobyfour, or whatever. Lol. I'll try to do a thread sometime with screenshots about how to edit photos and to take the blue tint out of the photos.

Hey Linda I didn't get to meet you in February so I'm glad you were at Corey's yesterday. We are actually going to have a discussion one month on how to take pictures if your tank and post them, along with other info on how to use the forum.
