I bought one of these from topdoggseller on ebay for $39.95 shipped. For the price i wasnt expecting much but am pleased to say it works great! It took a bit (bout a week +) to break in but now that it has its nice. I am using it HOB fasion and there are very few air bubbles that make it into the tank. It can also be used in sump. My only negative about this skimmer is that i have to reset it if im digging around in the tank much and mess up the water level. Its just a quick adjustment to get it going again and may be normal for all skimmers but its the only thing i can see thats not a positive about this little gem.
