if you have a porcupine puffer can you put shrimp in w/ this kind of fish ive seen it done but i didnt know of anyones sucess rate w/ if or if i will have to be a pioneer and try it and let everyone know
Would make a meal for the puffer, My dogface hunted down the live ghoast shrimp that I fed the tank with.
well that kinda killed my idea i was told if they are young and you feed them they havent formed some of there habbits like eating shrimp but i may throw a pepermint shrimp in there b/c of how cheap they are to find out thanks for your comment but i have to try for myself you know how that is though either way he will be fed or he will be cleaned one or the other
You neer know, I have seen cleaner shrimp cleaning the mouth of a large green moray without becoming a snack.
no kidding wow.. that would have been pretty cool to see i havent got the shrimp yet but im gonna try it while he is still small and just maybe maybe he will be ok but like i said before if he cleans he cleans if not he was a snack either way i will know the personality of the puffer
you may try to get as large of a shrimp as possible. maybe if it is big enough the puffer might not try to take a chunk out of him. just a though.
And let your Puffer stuff himself on his favorite frozen food before you put the shrimp in so he will not be hungry.
I got a small puffer he is probably 3 " in total length i was gonna stuff him w/ krill first then i was gonna find a big shrimp and acclimate him to the tank then put him in and put my hand underneath him and follow him all the way down to the bottom of the tank and then let him go but i hope this works but we will see and if anyone has anymore tricks let me know im gonna need em for this
