    Hi folks

I am in the planning stages of starting a reef aquarium, we plan on having softies, mushrooms, maybe a clam and a few fish I will be using a 20 H aquairum. I want to go with a led fixture and have just about settled on a reef breeders value fixture with 90 degree optics. http://www.reefbreeders.com/value_led_fixtures.html. I have found several positive reviews and really havent found a negative review on these fixtures. They are a sponsor at nano reef.com and seem to be a good company to work with. If anyone has one of these fixtures or has a comment it sure would be appreciated.

Only concerns I have are wait times

I contemplated going with these for a new build but in the end found my wait time from the manufacturer they use was shorter

Seems like they wait to hit the magic number of needed fixtures then order instead of build as you go

If they're in stock great , if not its 1-2 week before ship

Hey folks since I did make the statement that I could not find any negative reviews about reef breeders I felt obligated to let you know the following http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/326154-value-led/ Seems there is a recent issue with an upset customer I did have a positive experince with reef breeders on this site they did answer a question I had and I did like his advice anyway Im going to see how they respond to this issue before I move forward.

How do you like the light ? I appreciate the source you gave my only concern taking that route is warranty issues and getting parts.

I like them. You can have the lights built with the LEDs you want. It has a 3 year warranty. If you think about it, buying from a US distributor, you're still buying from the same manufacturer and they are still getting the warranty parts from the same source. I had mine custom built. It takes about a week to build & ships in 3 days from China. I asked them to throw in some spare LEDs in case I wanted to switch out some colors which they did with no problem.
If you buy through Alibaba, China's version of Ebay, you place your order, shipment is made and Alibaba contacts you to verify that you are satisfied before they pay the company. If there is a problem they withhold payment until the issue is resolved.
The model I bought has the built in controller. I got some of the first off the production line & it was their first time to use programable timers. I had a problem with the clock not keeping accurate time. They sent me new controllers & shipped them 3 days from China.
