I've done a little research and come to the conclusion that I have Rust Flat Worms in my 90gal. They are on the polyps of one of my Frog Spawn. The methods I've found to get rid of them vary. Fresh water rinse, Six Line Wrass, hand removal. Because it is on a Frog Spawn, fresh water dip seems to be the best option. Any thoughts or previous success?

Chris and I freshwater dipped several corals of his once before and it seemed to work very well.

  3. freshwater dipping may be the way to go...

I have read several post on RS of members having success with Salifert Flatworm eXit

    Says it's...

quite safe to fish and invertebrates. However, the body juice of flatworms can be toxic to some reef inhabitants when present in a too high concentration. This body juice is sometimes excreted when flatworms die.

So when you use this product it is important to do the following first:
1.Siphon out as many flatworms as possible.
2.Keep sufficient fresh activated carbon in a canister ready.
3.Turn off UV, ozone and remove activated carbon. Keep the skimmer turned on.

+1 to Flatworm Exit. I used it successfully in my old clam tank to completely eradicate them.

You do need to siphon as many of them as possible and make sure and do a good water change and run a lot of fresh carbon when finished.

I would stick with a natural way... sixline, yellow coris wrass, target mandarin goby. I had some in my 45. I tried sucking them out, but ended up getting the mandarin(he was eating frozen foods too) worked very well.

I went safe, and quick with fresh water dip. Seems to have worked well for the ones on my Frog Spawn. It has opened back up and looks fine. Don't see and flat worms at this point. Think I may get the Wrass to get the ones off the back of the tank. I didn't know Mandarin would eat them. I really want one but tank needs to age. It's only 4 month old. Now if I can get the ich off my new Tang. I dipped him too, in clean water. Long time reefer friend in CA dips all his fish when he first gets them.
