We'll be drift diving and I wouldn't want to hold things up with too little weight. Dove yesterday with 10 lbs and it was definitely too much.

Wow John! We saw one today that was about 75 lbs but he wanted nothing to do with us. Tried to get his picture but he was too fast for me.

Where is a good place to get certified around here looking to get this soon enough. Plan on applying for internships at some large aquariums and one of the things would be diving to clean and feed

We got our certification at Rick's Dive and Travel. Excellent instructors and a nice 86 degree 14' deep pool for comfortable itraining for the confined dives. They do their open water dives at Lake Ouachita from about April thru Oct and usally have a weekend option in winter time to go to Vortex Springs Florida (which is where we went).

I got my open water Ccard in the summer of 1985 from south Arkansas dive shop. later I got my advanced and a few specialties. Love ocean diving, reefs, walls, extended deep. Underwater photography is a passion, (I film system Sea N Sea motor marine 2. Also love kelp forest diving, gota love that dry suit lol.
The wife and I haven't dived in years would love to get back into it. May need to dust of the ole spear gun.
