    Hey, Chris

what kind of sealant from the hardware store works best, I know that u have to be careful... but what is safe a what isn't?

  2. Well -

If you are talking about silicone you need to make sure you purchase Silicone I, the majority of what is on display, where ever you go, will be Silicone II which has an antifungal in it.

I use two part epoxy for gluing glass to Plexiglas which comes in an assortment of setting times.

For Plexiglas and Acrylic I use Weldon 3 for the joint connection and Weldon 16 in all of the interior corners to double seal against leakage.

When is comes to PVC I use the light blue glue that is for indoor and outdoor use. On a side not I have started using Spa Flex PVC alot in my aquarium over hauls. For threaded joints I use Rectoseal with teflon, I gave up on tape about 5 years ago. I have used pipe tape for anything since - don't even think that I own any.

For frags I use super glue and an excellerant from Uber Frags.

Those are pretty much all of the glues that I use. Hope that it helps.
