Last night i noticed my male Ice blue zebra was flashing all over the place in the tank. I come home this evening look at the female and she is holding. If anybody wants to look up my fish heres a link. http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=794 wish me luck on the brood being raised well. Hey Norman didnt you say to use coral pieces so the fry and hide in the tank without me having to pull the female out and strip her of the fry when they are almost ready?
Yes, that's what I did. I used one corner and placed table acro skeletons where the adults couldn't get to the babies. worked well for me. Guess smaller pieces would work also if placed right.
Well i have about 2 maybe 2 1/2 weeks before fry begin to swim on their own. I will check the female from time to time to see how far the eggs have developed.
Thanks i havent done this in a long time. Usually they spawn in water with a PH of 8.2 funny thing is my water is at 7.8 or so.
