While doing maintenance several days ago I noticed that my anemone was in the shape of a cylinder in the middle of the day under full light, when he is usually all sprawled out. I thought it was odd but didn't pay to much attention to him. That evening just before lights out I noticed that he had come down from his cylinder shape but was pretty small compared to his usual expansion. Yesterday I noticed a partial splitting and today it is almost complete. I was thrilled to see this happen as I have read about it but had not ever seen it, especially in a carpet - usually bta's. Thought I would post a picture.
Well, I took several pictures over a couple of days to document this splitting of the anemone. My wife agreed with me as well, but several days after this picture was taken the anemone was back out in his full splendor having never split. I have never had one of my anemones split so I don't know how it works, I knew that it was a relatively quick process and this was taking days. I will keep watching and won't be so fooled again.
