i would like some opinions on some stocking ideas for the new tank. i would like a few small schools of fish and a couple large show fish to finish it off. there are only a few absolute must haves on my list and the rest are up for options. as far as must haves i want 3 hippo's, an achilles tang, and one large angel. i am in the air on either a koran, emporer, or queen and hoping for the best for corals. i would like a moderately stocked tank with alot of movement so any ideas are welcome.

    heres what i currently have
    2-hippo tangs
    1-orange shoulder tang
    1-sailfin tang
    1-foxface
    1--orange spotted rabbit
    1-kliens butterfly
    2-black oscelarus clowns
    1-cleaner wrasse

i will be adding one more hippo for sure. i plan on getting rid of the sailfin and getting a desjardini sailfin to replace him and the foxface i would like to get rid of and get a magestic foxface to replace him.
heres what i am contemplating to add
    1-hippo
3-convict tangs, yellow tangs, or purple tangs
    7-dispar or bartlet anthias
    1- large angel
    1-achilles tang
1-clown,sohil tang, or powder blue tang

i want to know how you would stock it if it were your tank. list'em for me.

I would stock myself in the 900G, but other than that....

A midas blenny would add a nice serpent-like motion to your tank.

If anything I would think of even larger schools, say 15, given the size of your aquarium. 8 fish might not show up that well. I don't know how much you like schooling fish.

Blue-green chromis might make an interesting counter-group to the pink anthias. I know I certainly considered them a cheap and uninteresting fish, but I like the one in my aquarium. The silver shines nicely, although you'll get that from the convict tangs.

i forgot to mention the little guys like that. there will definitely be a midas and a couple jawfish as well down the road. i like the blennies and gobies and will fit as many as i can in there with the others.

i like the chromis too. i would like to get some opinions on what most people like better. would you rather have a large school of 2-3 colors or 4-5 smaller schools but more variety?

I personally like the bigger groupings because your tank is so long--it's going to be tough to have horizontal visual elements pulling it together.

I would worry about feeding a large pack of anthias in a reef tank. I was just reading that midas blennies shoal with some anthias, would be cool if it happens in yours.
